Ships And Subs
|
 |
While our current conflict will not be offering much in Naval Combat
excitement, unless you think watching missile being launched from a ship is exciting, you
can still pretend in the comfort of your own home. Just take the Iraq situation, throw a
Tom Clancey spin on it and next thing you know a stray smart bomb has caused WWIII and we
are out sinking Russian Nuke Subs in the Black Sea or wherever the Russians are setting up
for their next sub mishap. |

Ship By Mega Blocks |
 |
With 718 pieces, the Iraq war could start and be
over before I could finish putting it together, but you maybe you have better luck getting
your blocks to resemble something other than a tower. Of course it is a tower of
pain I can create, but I have to admit, all my block/lego building always comes down to
building a tower.

Wolf Probuilder |

2,450 interlocking pieces. I tried it. I got a tower
with a periscope and missile tubes. One day I will learn how to make something other
than a tower with building blocks, but it is not going to happen with this complicated
model. Sadly on the amazon site, a review mentions his 7 year old could do this on
his own. Freaking super kid.

USS Kittyhawk Probuilder |
 |
If I read the 56 page manual to this 1,700 piece model, it would be
the longest book I read this year. Thankfully there are no words and all pictures,
that I can handle. 36 recipes for Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup has been unseated!
Since no country will let us launch fighters from their oh so sacred soil, it is a
pretty safe bet the aircraft carriers will be getting a pretty heavy workout. The
Kittyhawk is currently stationed in the gulf region. (I sure hope Iraq is not reading this
site to check troops movements!)

Sea Wolf Submarine (rc) |
 |
While this sub is officially designed for pools and subs, it
quickly took control of my tub. While the subs will not see much ship-to-ship action
in the gulf, you can always pretend. Pretend to be Roy Scheider in a failed NBC TV
Series that replaced science fiction with undersea adventure.
For added fun, choose another Scheider movie and buy a shark vest and play what a Jaws what if in the pool, what if Chief
Brody had a sub instead of Quint's old bucket?

Sea Tiger (rc) |

This rc submarine features authentic coloring and decals for this
US Navy! Really, ever since the end of the cold war, the Navy has gotten a little
goofy.
